I have been in the bar/restaurant industry for over 25 years, My first bar-tending gig was at a cool little spot in N. Portland, Oregon, in 1996. I was instantly hooked! so much so, that I bought my first bar at the age of 26. Since then I have Owned, operated, Managed, or Consulted for over 60 Bars, Restaurants, and clubs. I love the atmosphere, the people, and the culture. My first book, PROMOS 2 PROFITS, was intended to be a guide for my employees to use while planning events and bar promotions. It quickly became a hit with small business owners in the area. A few years, and several edits later, we were selling it to business owners and Managers across the nation! My second book, YOUR COMPLETE GUIDE TO JELLO SHOTS, started out as a messy 3 ring binder full of interesting new recipes for jello shots designed to attract the local college crowd to our  little blue collar bar. Unfortunately the binder kept disappearing. Frustrated,  I vented to my publisher. At the time, she was the only one that would listen to me complain. LOL!  she responded in jest, "..if it's that popular, we should publish it." Three months later it was in a handful of local liquor stores. Within a year it was available in over 1000 locations nationwide! The continued success of that book encouraged my third book, GAMES DRUNK PEOPLE PLAY. This Book was, by far, the most fun to create! For me, the best part of any book project is the feedback we get from readers. So many great suggestions and crazy stories! We are currently working on an open source App that will allow users to add new games, recipes, comments and pics. I am very excited about that!

My fourth and most recent book, DIY HOME LOAN MODIFICATIONS, is drastically different than the happy-go-lucky theme of my previous books. I began experiencing a lot of family, friends, and neighbors negatively affected by the housing crisis of 2008. As I learned more about what was happening, and why, it became immediately clear to me that I had to write a book for people like me (non-technical) to navigate the flood of Government sponsored programs designed to help people who had fallen victim to predatory loans.

Although not nearly as fun as creating a book about Jello Shots or Drinking games, This book has changed the lives of so many people. Its amazing!. I'll never be able to properly explain how amazing it feels to help someone save their family home!

I currently have a few new book ideas swimming around in my head, a couple fun and whimsical  ideas to compliment the others. And a few more serious "make the world a better place"  type books. Obviously, I couldn't  do either if folks like you stopped buying my books, so please, don't stop! LOL!
